Case Study : Empower Field at Mile High

Empower Field at Mile High
Empower Field at Mile High is an American football stadium in Denver, Colorado. The primary tenant is the NFL team, the Denver Broncos. Empower Field opened in 2001 to replace the Broncos' original home, Mile High Stadium.
Project
The lot had insufficient lighting and high energy consumption. 400W HID fixtures on 40ft poles failed to distribute light effectively.
We recommended replacing them with LED lights of comparable brightness to 1000W HID fixtures.
Solution
With the new LEDs installed, light levels increased 100%. We utilized rebates from Xcel Energy to assist in cost-savings on the project, driving down the ROI.
Each fixture came with occupancy/dimming sensors that contribute to 50% energy savings.
Fixtures were customized to dim in evenings and off season hours. Overall maintenance was eliminated due to the longevity of LED fixtures.
